How to sell your new and second-hand stuff on Second Hand Swank

Contact our customer service department at secondhandswank.com and let us know that you want your own consignment store online at Second Hand Swank.  

We'll walk you through the process but here is what you can expect: 

  • Read our online consignment store packet and agree to the terms

  • Pack your stuff

  • Ship your stuff

  • Choose a store name (we can help you if you prefer)

  • Approve the logo that we create for you or provide your own

  • Get paid automatically to your Zelle or PayPal account. when your items sell!

  • Set up a Paypal account (if you haven't already) if you want to get paid through Paypal.

  • We do the rest

Pack your stuff

Stuff all those unwanted items in a box. Fill out your inventory list price sheet. If you don't know what your items are worth, don't worry, we will do that research for you. If your box arrives with no inventory sheet, we will create an inventory sheet for you. This will include an estimated list price for each item based on its market value and competitor listings. You approve the list and/or make changes as you see fit. 

Ship Stuff

Once your box is stuffed to the brim, take it to your local Post Office and ship it to us. We want everyone to experience how awesome we are so, on the first box you ship to us, and once we receive your items, we will reimburse you the postage cost or up to a maximum of $14.95. Make sure you stuff that box! Once your box is ready to be shipped, contact us at secondhandswank.com to let us know your items are on the way!  That's it!  We will do the rest from there. 

What Can You Sell

We do not sell heavy bulk items such as furniture; appliances, etc. Please do not ask us to list them and do not ship these items to us. Each item must weigh less than 5 pounds. If you have a questionable item please contact us first to determine if it can be listed. Please refer to our Restricted Item List. Terms & conditions

How Does It Work

Our Consignment Store Online Service is a 60/40 commission split. It is an all-inclusive service where we handle everything for you. It includes:

  • Help pricing your items

  • Taking and editing photos

  • Writing product descriptions

  • Advertising and promoting your item

  • Shipping the item(s) when sold

  • Setting up a personalized shop for your items on our website

  • Social networking about items on the site

  • Detailed annual sales report

  • Handling customer returns, restocking items, and customer inquiries

  • Commission percent of the sale is deposited immediately into your Zelle or PayPal account.

What Happens To My Items If They Don't Sell?

You decide when your items come off the website. We will help you to put them on clearance or reduce the price as you see fit. but, there is no time limit at Second Hand Swank! If the season or style isn't in just yet, you have plenty of time to wait until it is. If you decide to take an item down, it can either be shipped to you or donated to charity. We will provide you with the information for tax deductions on donated items.
